Enterprise Resource Planning
Also known as ERP. The technologies and processes involved in integrating the core functions of an organization, including finance, human resources, supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement. Often defined as a category of business management software, ERP consists of multiple applications, or modules, that communicate with each other in real time and can be used to collect, store, and manage data from a company’s array of business activities. Many of today’s ERP solutions not only integrate business processes; they also provide visibility into those processes, as well as intelligence and analytics, allowing businesses to make data-driven decisions.
