Michele P. Warren brings more than 20 years of experience in communications and trade publishing to her role at The 2112 Group. Her responsibilities as managing editor include quality control, writing, research, and content development.
A veteran journalist, writer, and editor, she spent nearly a decade at Computer Reseller News, United Business Media’s flagship newsweekly covering the technology channel. After that, she assumed the role of managing editor at Long Island Business News, and then at the Long Island Press, before rejoining UBM as the managing editor of VARBusiness, where she oversaw editorial production. In the summer of 2007, Verint Systems, a developer of security intelligence and workforce optimization solutions, hired Michele as marketing communications specialist. There, she wrote and edited marketing collateral, magazine articles, newsletters, and internal communications.
Over the past five years, Michele has freelanced for a diverse array of clients, including Loewy, an interactive agency; LCH Communications, a PR firm; InformationWeek, an online community for business technology professionals; Xpodigital, a vendor of digital signage; and Building Long Island, a bimonthly real estate magazine.
Michele, who graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s in Communications and from Touro College with a master’s in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language), has earned accolades for her writing and volunteerism. She earned a Turn of Phrase award while at CRN and a Heart of Long Island award from North Shore Animal League of America while at LIBN.
