Ingram and 2112’s program

Ingram Micro and The 2112 Group have this week announced 2112 Group Cloud Altimeter, an online tool and “cloud intelligence program” aimed at helping solution providers’ cloud businesses.

The tool uses intelligence collected from participating partners and evaluates a solution provider’s “relative state of readiness and performance” when compared with other channel partners. It provides quantitative research, strategic content, analysis and prescriptive guidance, according to the announcement.

In addition, Ingram and 2112 announced 2017 State of the U.S. Cloud Channel – A Special Report by The 212 Group, Microsoft and Ingram Micro Cloud. Key findings include cloud revenue representing an average of 11 percent to 15 percent of channel partners’ gross revenue in 2016, with the average goal for 2017 being 16 to 20 percent.

The report also found that 73 percent of solution providers lack a cloud business plan, 70 percent lack set cloud sales goals and 63 percent lack cloud marketing plans.
